Description
As the name implies, this is a defensive
shooting position that officers may use when they
are in close proximity so a subject and lethal
force is necessary. The measurements for this
motion were the times it took the officer, in a
reaction response to an auditory stimulus, to move
from a weapon in holster position and draw or to
move from bootleg position, get the weapon in
position, and fire one round.
